The Great Atlantean Battle Royalchemy is a novella (that started as a short story but when KD Edwards start writing a "short" story it grows on the way and I am absolutely fine with it) giving more insight to the frail balance and relationships between various groups in Atlantean society, is full of funny and heartfelt moments between our main characters, gives hints for future plotlines and expands the already amazing worldbuilding!

Cherry on top, more Max content !

I'm counting the days until The Hourglass Throne comes out !

A perfect little novella to bridge the gap before The Hourglass Throne.

I just love these characters SO much. Reading this was such a lovely little group hug with all of my friends.

Very enjoyable, but not quite as enjoyable (for me) as the other Tarot Sequence fiction, short or long. This may well be due to my own mood today and not anything to do with the story. I continue to love these characters, most especially Rune, Brand, and the bond between them.

About my reviews: I try to review every book I read, including those that I don't end up enjoying. The reviews are not scholarly, but just indicate my reaction as a reader, reading being my addiction. I am miserly with 5-star reviews; 4 stars means I liked a book very much; 3 stars means I liked it; 2 stars means I didn't like it (though often the 2-star books are very popular with other readers and/or are by authors whose other work I've loved).

I loved this, thank you for making it available. It was a joy to read!

These short stories always manage to be silly, funny and then serious, adding more depth to Rune's world and hinting at the courts we've yet to meet.

I also love that no matter what, the whole of Rune and Brand's family inevitably manages to get involved and turn up unscheduled.

Corbie makes me howl, I love how he's got Lord Tower wrapped round his finger! I really hope we see more of Ewa and her battle alchemy.

Brand POV! It was fun to see other perspectives besides Rune's.
