Very much enjoyed. Read in basically one sitting, even though it's certainly a full novel.

Omg, Royal was so adorable. Actually, all three of them were extremely adorable and I loved their story so much. I skipped this one the first time I read the Heathens Ink books because I wasn't sure if MMM was my thing, but it definitely is. Royal, Nash and Zade stole my heart and I absolutely loved them.

With this book being the second in the series of KM Neuhold’s Heathens Ink series and appearing to have a New Romantic set up you’d be forgiven for thinking this book would have a whole new plot. I certainly did. But no. Interestingly, a rather larger than you’d expect portion of book 2 is taken up rehashing book 1 from a different perspective.
The other thing that really threw me plot-wise in this book was the way fostering was portrayed as a very cavalier, almost Pokémon-esque ‘I choose you’ which I’m sure if it’s anything like the system in the uk it’s very much not..

I liked this one much more than Rescue Me (which I didn't hate, mind you). The relationship development between the three MCs felt really organic. Also, I can't help but love a good found family trope, which I felt more of in this book than in book one. I loved all three MCs, and they were very well written with believable layers. I appreciated and could feel the frustration by the discussions on bi-erasure. It was also interesting to see some of the events from book one from different POVs during the first half of this book. All in all, I enjoyed myself and I'm glad I kept going with this series. I curious to know where things are going with the other characters. What's going on with Adam? What's Owen's story? And what's going to happen with Liam? I look forward to finding out.
