There’s just something about taking the princely tropes like flying rose petalsAnd add it as a comic moment. The prince literally has to cover up with a cloth or the flying rose petals will explode from him. It’s so silly but that’s what makes this fun.

This series so far is cute and a little bit ridiculous (in a good way) I love Ichimonji and his pink hair, and how he's giving off Tamaki Suoh vibes. Can't wait to see where the rest of this story goes.

Because Hatsuyuki is leaving for "business", he asked the "Four Lords" or his friends to watch and protect Koume as he is gone. And everyone agrees, especially Kakihiko "Glasses-Sempai" and Momotaro. They are too fucking extra and hilarious. But damn in retrospect, they actually are cool. As Koume was about to be attacked, Kakihiko jumped in and saved her along with the other lords. She witnessed first hand, how much Hatsuyuki means to to them.
omg Tsubaki gave Koume a scruncie because his mom ask him to give it to her as a thank you for bringing her closer to her son again. omg yes I love how Koume stood up not only for herself but for Tsubaki when those bitches were badmouthing him. I also like how Hatsuyuki and Tsubaki saw it and when Momotaro showed up and hose them but told them they can continue to take bad about Koume lol. But omg Tsubaki blushed and Hatsuyuki saw it!!! Brooooo imma cry cause I was Koume with Hatsuyuki but Tsubaki is so cute and precious I want him happy too.
awe Hatsuyuki is getting jealous of Koume and Tsubaki together. I think he knows that Tsubaki likes her but to her they are planning his surprise b-day party for just them and him. But even as they were hanging out, Tsubaki told Koume that he liked being with her since it reminded him of his life before he was taken by his dad. He felt normal awe <3

Omg not the other three lords planning to get Tsubaki and Koume together but Tsubaki happened to walk in on their plans and he confronted Glasses about it. But Hatsuyuki and Koume at the roof pool and them confessing and being cute omg my heart. And then they kissed!!! I love them so much

The topy tursy courtship and adventure of (Prince) Hatsuyuki Ichimonjim, the endearing and (not wealthy) commoner Koume Yoshida with the hear of gold. And of course their friends and confidents. Volume two brings more themes of CONSENT, of having a inner circle of friends to whom you can be yourself with and the being a person that's easy to love--a person that helps others and enriches their lives. Another great volume.
