As soon as I picked up this book, I found it VERY difficult to put down, only doing so because a body needs food and sleep to survive. In "Cress", I enjoyed reading about the other protagonists of the series more so than the titled protagonist, but she still made for a beautiful character. I ESPECIALLY enjoyed the way Meyer integrated Thorne into this story overall. I mean, I didn't realise it until he went blind, but Captain Carswell Thorne was always designed to be Cress' prince - Rapunzel's prince was blinded by a thorn bush after the witch who was holding her found out about them, and of course, after Sybil (the witch, as Thorne calls her), discovered Cress' betrayal and Thorne comes to the rescue, he gets hurt and blinded because of Sybil's actions.

Not to mention, it wasn't until I realised until after Erland figured it out for himself that Crescent was actually his daughter. I mean, I remember him mentioning he had a daughter in Cinder, but I never imagined to connect the dots like so. Again, all due to the masterful interwoven story telling that Meyer is gifted with.

So far, "Cress" is my favourite in the series.

Oh my god.

This book was so incredible.
The Lunar Chronicles is definitely my favorite and the next book, the last book, is going to be FUCKING AMAZING.

Pardon my french, but sometimes I need to swear to get the full affect of things. (or is it effect?)

NO REVIEW. FOR NOW.

JUST CRESS
AND CAPTAIN THORNE

OH MY. SO. GREAT.

AND WE MEET WINTER IN THIS BOOK. SHE IS IN THE NEXT ONE.
YAY FOR CAPS.

GOOD DAY

I gave the book four stars because it is, overall, a great book. The characters, the setting, the plot, every time I pick up the book I couldn’t stop reading it. Except for the beginning… I’ve noticed that with this author, the first 25% usually doesn’t really grab my interest. And I really have to push myself to keep reading, but maybe that’s just a personal experience

Finished my uni semester so I can finally get through my tbr. Maybe I left the series too long, but this one didn’t really click with me compared to the first two books. It didn’t help that I didn’t really like Cress’ character, but I’ll still continue the series.
