A tolerable memoir of a chef and cookbook author's life in Paris. Made me laugh and didn't make me cry or roll my eyes so props.

I enjoyed this book, but it actually made me think that I don't really have any desire to ever go to Paris.

I enjoyed reading about David’s experiences living in Paris. Lots of good recipes too.
A lot of people who have read this book *really* didn’t enjoy it. I read it because I’m having anxiety about an upcoming solo trip to France - my first. I’ve heard so many anecdotes about how mean the French, and specifically Parisians are. Man, I’m so excited to go after reading this book. I definitely enjoyed his humor and his description of Parisian quirks. I really enjoyed reading his story of adjusting to life in Paris and learning about the cultural norms.
Lots of funny things in here, although it definitely felt more like a collection of essays than a book.
A witty and informative book about life in Paris with the added bonus of delicious recipes and suggestions for places to go (and things to eat) while in Paris.
I enjoyed this as a quick read, but like so many travel books recently it seems like many blog posts turned into a book.
There were some things I loved and some things about this book I absolutely hated. However, I appreciated his willingness to share his time in Paris.
