Want a gripping suspenseful read that will keep you hooked? This is your book. Want a book with a mind blowing plot twist? This is not your book.

The writing was captivating and I was hooked from the beginning.  I devoured every page, completely engrossed in the story.  Right up until... *the reveal* ...happened. I'm still reeling from the sudden shift. The emotional impact is similar to a child watching their balloon float away into the sky. Ugh, I'm so disappointed! 😩 It felt like such a letdown after everything that came before it. I'm still processing how it all went wrong, and it's going to take some time. I had such high hopes, and now I'm just feeling deflated.

If you need a quick read for October to help meet your reading goals, and don't mind a potentially disappointing plot twist, this would be a good choice. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend it.

This is genuinely the worst book I've ever read. I listened to it with my Brother and Sister in law in the car because my SIL had read good reviews. Then we'd committed, so we had to finish it. Horrendous, unrealistic (to an insane degree) writing. Unbelievable characters. Nonsensical story. Terrible representation of mentally ill people and no research at all into psychiatry.
It read like it could have been written by A.I and the only reason I don't think it was is because it was published in 2022.

I personally don't understand the hype of this book. I think the author decided to surprise everyone with a twist... that actually does not seem to be making any sense in my opinion. The book was okay and I would not unfortunately recommended it. The narrator did a nice job to keep me interested in the book however.

I wasn’t exactly thrilled by this thriller.

It was interesting, but none of it was particularly shocking.

When newlyweds Ethan and Tricia go house hunting in inclimate weather, they find themselves trapped in a home for sale. But who's home? None other than psychiatrist Dr. Adrienne Hale, who went missing 3 years beforehand.
Tricia believes they aren't alone in the house, and when clues begin to pop up that she might be right, she stops at nothing to figure out the truth. But sometimes the truth is sticky and lands you in situations you were never meant to be in.

This was so fun! I thought I knew the twist, and I was partially correct, but I never saw the others coming! I'm giving it 4 stars! I was entertained the entire time!
