I loved this book and my favorite character was Gabriel.
He shut that dumb ass mother-in-law's mouth up and I was screaming internally from joy.

I love pretty much every obsessed man not you fucking Joshua Templeman.

The tension was 🤌🤌
I think the final spice scene was not delivering enough as they wanted it since 400 hundred pages, though.

The first 300-350 pages were so good!!! It was the perfect mixture between world building/mystery, romance and personal struggles and I was thoroughly entertained.
But as soon as
they didn’t hate each other anymore
it became too rushed in my opinion. Everything evolved too quickly for my liking and I thought it was too unrealistic given their previous history
(and the fact that they had both believed it for ten years)

I also didn’t really like how the mystery was resolved, it felt too rushed and too “easy”
and I hated the way that Adriana just forgave Eden. Sure, she was a child but I feel like there could’ve been a much better explanation for who used the quill:( I personally would’ve loved for it to be Ryleigh because I didn’t suspect her for most of the book (or even Sophie because she was a typical evil stepmother lol). Idk, I guess I just expected some big scheme or motive to be behind the use of the quill, so the fact that it wasn’t was a little disappointing.

That is not to say that someone else wouldn’t enjoy the book or the way it was resolved!!
I did have a good time reading it, all in all, and I’m excited for the next books because I love the world and the characters:)

Throne of Secrets by Kerri Maniscalco is the next book in the Prince of Sin series. This Cinderella-esque story focus’s on Prince Gluttony (aka Gabriel Axton) and his rival Adriana Saint Lucent a scandal sheets journalist that we’ve met before in previous books. There’s a history between the two that slowly gets unraveled as the story goes along.

I had SO much fun with this one! The ice dragons and that whole mystery combined with Gabriel and Adriana’s history were a joy to explore. The wintery setting was very atmospheric. Chemistry was off the charts (no surprise there as readers have witnessed their fiery exchanges in other books of this overall series), and the spicy scenes were quite satisfying. Definitely recommended for people who’ve read the first book Throne of the Fallen in the Prince of Sin series, and in my opinion it’s an even better installment of this series than the first book was.

I’ll add that I NEED Prince Pride and his wife’s book IMMEDIATELY. I honestly hope their book is next!
