A yummy enemies to lovers story with mystery and intrigue. Adriana as the FMC was a lovely breath of fresh air. Stubborn, witty, clever, curious; she is not afraid of a good fight and unabashedly follows her intuition. The Prince of Gluttony as a hunter of adventure and pleasure in all its forms was a fun take on the deadly sin. His devil-may-care exterior was a sharp contrast to the passionate, fiercely caring and loyal character underneath. I only wish both their character development had been even deeper.

You can’t have a good enemies to lovers without banter, and this story has plenty of it, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Adriana and the Prince’s interactions are sharp and sensual without the constant annoying undertone of “I hate you but I don’t hate you”. There is a delightfully crafted dynamic of attraction vs. loathing, but rather than overshadow the quips and verbal sparring matches it aided the building tension.

Was it fantastic writing devoid of plot holes and less than stellar character development? No, but nonetheless a thoroughly enjoyable read. Bonus .25 points: (probably due to the fact that I wasn’t fully focused on reading for the mystery component) I did NOT expect the ending which is always a plus for me.

Another solid mystery-romance-fantasy. Gluttony has a hex to solve in his kingdom and a reporter to get even with. We love to see Princes Wrath, Envy and Lust ever so present! And how could we not love the introduction of dragons to Gluttony’s world?

One thing I wish Kerri did less of was the 450 page build up and the 50 page resolution. It makes the story end up falling flat. I also didn’t love the ending. I think it would have been much more believable if it was betrayal as opposed to an innocent mistake.
