A retelling of Persephone’s and Hades tale. After the events that took place under the mountain, Feyre finds herself trying to adapt to her new self as she fights with  PTSD and her constant nightmares, also fronting the consequences of making a deal with certain high lord.

Big upgrade from the first book. Spice level increased by a good 40%. Enjoyed watching feyre’s progress and how she flourishes. It was nice to be able to relate to her mental health problems but watching her find herself again and find what life had to offer really just inspires hope in me. I’m excited for the next book albeit I don’t believe any other book in the series will live up to the expectations of this book.

Wow! After reading the first book, I wasn't sure how this second in the series would compare or even compete. But Wow! Just WOW!

The characters, the love story, the pain, trauma, & triumph! Just Wow!

I dont want to give any spoilers away, but this series is a must read for anyone who loves a dark, twisty, adventure. Who loves hope, redemption, and deep passionate love (with some very passionate moments intertwined!)

I'll be starting the next book immediately!

This is the best book I’ve read since The Hating Game.

Somehow I continue to be surprised by where the author takes us and the characters. This book was an absolute pleasure to read from beginning to end. It is packed full of action, interesting characters, dynamic relationships, and surprises. Already ordered the last 3 books in the series because I have to know how this all ends!

found Feyre a much more barrable character in this book. Her jello spine eventually became steel and she got some of her sh*t together. Rhysand was delightful in the last book and I loved all the “screen time” he got in this book. As with any book by Sarah, you will be endlessly blue-balled. Her sex scenes are more explicit than usual but everyone freaking out that teens shouldn’t be reading this, obviously forgot a lot of people start masturbating in middle school and f*cking in high school. If it’s not your thing though just skip ahead.
