This was exactly the type of twisted book I was in the mood for. I finished it in a day, but it adds the punch I needed to get my fill of dark and taboo romance.
If you haven't figured it out, Atlas and Sage are brothers and sisters, blood relatives. They have some serious angst in the very beginning. Atlas it probably certifiably insane also, it doesn't take long for sage to follow her big bro into the deep end. She want him as much as he wants her.
There's lot of blood, sex, and cutting.

So I was randomly scrolling on my kindle and accidentally clicked this book. It was a free book offered by the author somewhere and I grabbed it. I didn't have any intention to get to it right away but when the book opened on my kindle to the content warnings page - I couldn't help but continue to turn the page.
Of course, this book is so short, I finished it the same night. It starts out with figuring out who the characters are and we learn that our hero is actually a villain with murderous tendencies. He is also hot for his sister. His BLOOD sister. This is only my second incest book and I loved the first one. Granted the first one I read had over 600 pages of chemistry that convinced me to love them. This one didn't have enough content to convince me that blood siblings were right for each other. I was able to set that aside and just look at it as if they weren't related. Even doing that - it didn't make the book much better. He blatantly RAPED her while in disguise. Again, this was in the content warnings so I knew it was coming. And I didn't even have a big problem with that scene. Ultimately, I enjoyed this novella for what is was: a quick taboo story that lacks depth due to being a novella. The writing is decent and it was quick to get through. Also being Halloween themed was nice since its currently October.

Cause this sucker is Taboo and dark AF! Gah this duo have quickly become one clicks for me because when I’m looking for dark, messed up, forbidden, and boundary pushing reads they never let me down! They are not afraid to write anything into their books and are unapologetically dark and dirty… and so are their MMCs! (And let’s be honest most of the time so are the FMCs. 😆)
So of course Atlas is going to be just as dark and dirty as all of the others and it’s intoxicating. He’s so bad. And I don’t mean in a cute rebellious sort of way, nope. I mean legit bad. There is no room for grey in his moral compass. That sucker is blacked out and only points South. 😂 Yet here I am.. a little taken aback by him but drooling regardless. 🤦🏻♀️ There’s something about a character that knows he’s a really bad guy, full on accepts it, and just doesn’t give a fuck. The way he says things or the way he reacts without a care for the consequences draws me in. So much that I completely disregard all of the bad things he’s done or is doing the second he opens his mouth and those dirty words spill from his tongue! 🙈🙈🙈
Does that make all the bad he did ok? Hell no of course not. Does it make me a weirdo for being quite attracted to how bad he truly is? Hmm.. probably. But I’m taking a page from Atlas - Who cares? I enjoyed the hell out of this and I obviously wasn’t alone since they’ve decided to extend this into a longer story with a full release. 😁
And. I. Can’t. Wait. 🙌🏻
