[read in the German translation by Cheyenne Dreißigacker]
I very much enjoyed this book! I imagine someone who knows little to nothing about asexuality would find it even more interesting.
The plot felt a bit contrived and the characters' reaction overly dramatic (there's a lot of screaming out your feelings), but I read it more as a book conveying information about LGBTQIA+ than something meant to awe with its intricate plot and deep characters, so I think the book achieved its goals. It was very informative and very cute at times. I also liked that the main character didn't do some soul searching and then figured out her (or maybe their?) entire sexuality. There's things the MC is unsure about, things she doesn't have words for, things she hasn't yet considered. It often feels like characters think about their sexuality and then it's all clear and there is no ambiguity whatsoever. It feels validating to read.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone who wants a book with varied queer representation or who wants to learn more about asexuality. It might not be a great fit for someone who knows a lot about LGBTQIA+ as the character is only just learning about ace being a thing, so it becomes a bit textbook at times. But the stories still are cute, even if you'd likely skim a bit of exposition.
