I don't usually read thriller or mystery novels, but I'm glad I picked up this trilogy. Excellent characters and storytelling. Great translation.

3.5 stars. Better then the second one but not as great as the first one. This was quite exciting and suspenseful and I did enjoy reading it for the most part. Dark and gritty.

Mi sono piaciuti molto i due protagonisti, Dante e Colomba, così diversi ma allo stesso tempo così uguali… Ho trovato una crescita esponenziale nel carattere di Dante, cosa che ho molto apprezzato, ma non altrettanto positiva l’evoluzione del loro rapporto;

Better than the second but not as good as the first, at times the plot had me racing through and at other times I couldn’t wait to be rid of the trilogy. You’ll see from the blurb that Dante is missing and he was a character I really missed and didn’t feel the book excelled without him. I think the timing of the plot was a bit off, at times it was a slog and at other times it felt rushed - I didn’t get the feel that the ending was satisfying like the reviews promised! Overall I enjoyed that it was a meaty read, something to really get stuck into, but it was also, at times, a slog.

3.5 stars. A bit hard to follow, perhaps I left too much of a gap between #2. I couldn’t remember parts of the story. Still a great trilogy
