I'm not typically one for poetry, though these truly touched my heart. The author winds words together so beautifully and masterfully, I want to print some of these out and paste them in notebooks just to forever frame them not only in the confines of my kindle app but somewhere physical. Something as tangible as the raw emotion put into this work. It's truly incredible how well it's written, I've never felt so understood by poetry before. It takes a lot to read each poem, I'll be sure to reread them just to truly take it all in.
There's so much in them, from the language used to the meanings to the pure, screaming, life behind each page. Not to mention the art, the art style is beautiful. Just as much as the writing is, it entirely suits the poetry and adds a nice interlude for thinking in between the poems. I enjoyed them a lot, there's clearly a lot of skill behind both the art and the poetry. Big congrats to the creators of this, it's truly amazing. Thank you so much to Ben Thornberry for sending me a copy, I am very grateful.
