Ce livre est addictif. Il se lit très rapidement, les évènements s'enchaînent, l'intrigue et les plot twist sont bien équilibrés, j'adore ! Mais par contre cette fin... Je veux en savoir plus !

4.5 stars. Maybe 4.75?

Aside from a few details that didn’t add up to me, I was so pleasantly surprised by this book. I loved the world constructed in this story, and the Greek mythology elements meshed well with the modern world. The rules of the Agon are very well explained and developed, and it doesn’t feel forced on the reader, it’s more like a natural learning alongside the characters. I really enjoyed learning about Melora and Castor’s past and families and how they to got to where they are in the current Agon. There were so many emotions in this book and some great plot twists. My jaw genuinely dropped at a few moments and I struggled to predict the outcome while still understanding the world well enough to theorize.

Overall, this was a great standalone story and I thought the ending was extremely well done.

I was reading this book with a couple of friends and I think that if it wasn't for the fact that all of us were reading it I'd have probably DNFed it at the end of Part 1. I really like the concept of the book and I do think the story had a lot of potential but feel like it needed to have more context in the beginning to grip the read, as it was all so confusing. No previous knowledge of the Hunt and how tihing were to play out made it hard to understand and get involved with the story. Somehow think I'd have enjoyed it more if it playing out in Acient Greece, but get why it was actually happening in the present, for the "lessons" the characters learn. I really wanted to enjoy this book as I love mythology but sadly it wasn't for me ..

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. There's nonstop action from the very first page until the end, but the author managed to have a decent pacing throughout. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoyed Percy Jackson and loves Greek mythology.

CW: The book does contain detailed acts of violence and gore against adults and children. Sexual assault is also mentioned, but not described in detail.
