I know that this book has many many 5 star reviews, but I belong to the group that found it really tough to read through the dense pages. I have a reasonably short attention span, and I know that once I stop reading a book, unless I am really enjoying it, then I will just find excuses not to read it, which is what happened in the end. Not a book for the light hearted.

A compelling read set in 1970’s Northern Ireland, during the Troubles. The story is original, the narrators voice, unique. I was intrigued from the start and it held me right up till the end.
