I wanted to like this book more than I actually did. It was cheesy and predictable but also deep and supposed to be moving. (Things are too bleak IRL to feel moved the way the author wants lol) there was potential for this to be a 5 star but it was just missing that ~it factor~

I love this book. House in the Cerulean Sea was my favorite comfort read of the last few years, and I’ve been putting off reading this book until I really needed to. It didn’t disappoint at all. I love all the characters, I love the tea shop, I love the romance. It handles themes of death and grieving, and of what being a better person means. But under all the heaviness lies Klune’s charm, and the underlying feeling that no matter how things go, everything will be okay.
