I enjoyed the way this book tied together pieces not visited or answered in Arcane, but would like to see more of Ambessa as the leader of the Medardas. Maybe in a sequel?

I love mel so I loved this book even though it's about ambessa. It was a great telling of her backstory and mels origins it was really interesting to see all mainly from ambessa's pov. I really like Rell alot I had no idea who she was until this book because I've only watched arcane but I have come to love her.

Another C.L. Clark masterpiece that has hooked me from beginning to end.

I went with the audiobook version to lengthen my experience and I’m so glad I did. My love for the Arcane Netflix series aside.. this was a wonderful read. It was even better listening to the great Ellen Thomas narrate and continue her portrayal of Ambessa Medarda.

Can’t wait for the sequel!
