I love when you notice how much the characters and the author's writing has grown while reading the last book of a trilogy. I remember how the first book was from Silas' POV and therefore had a poetic lay-out. That very lay-out felt a bit off when reading tbe second book from other characters' POV's. Mostly because those people didn't write poems himself. This book had the perfect mix!

The pop culture references were way less in your face then the second book. Instead we got actual descriptions of the characters and such, making it much easier to understand who you are dealing with as a reader.

I am also in love with how we have our mysterious dark haired and blue eyed guy, but he is nowhere near the stereotypical mysterious guy. He admits his flaws and he steps up his game. He isn't toxic like those characters usually end up being.

However there are parts about the book that were a bit of a bummer. It feels like too much of a coincidence how
practically everyone in the group ends up dating someone else in the group.

It sometimes took a while for something to happen. When we did have a scene it felt as if things were ended rather abruptly. I wanted to know what was about to happen but instead of having a scene about that I had to read by one character telling someone else what happened the night or even weeks before. With other words, there was a built-up and when the climax would happen a time skip is given instead. The ending was kind of dealt with in a similar way. In a way I look forward to the ending of a book and especially the ending of a trilogy, but... I didn't really get an ending. I am left with some questions and feel like some things are left in the dark instead of giving the read an explanation.

I do not have the right words to tell you how much I loved reading this again. I love the way it all comes together, how the tension keeps building and then snaps - like a storm building over time until it finally breaks out and then clears up again. I think that's the best way to describe this book. You see the storm building and there's so much anticipation... But you're also longing for the sun to come out after.
I just loved it and my words are leaving me. I'm very happy I got to read this again.
