Dystopian Demon Erotica

[anti-female empowerment society setting, enemies to lovers, reverse harem, erotica, naive main character, mates, demon/incubi/fates]

There’s no other way to describe it better. The sex leads to intimacy which will probably lead into what the writer will convince us is a healthy relationship. Which is quite backwards irl but not unique in this genre. With a semi post-modern, very dystopian setting of female population decline, we get a society in which all governments of all realms (which seem to include human, fae, demon, and others) to bounty hunt any “breed-able” females and treat them as cattle. Yeah, ick. I don’t know how much we can really discuss consent when independence isn’t an option for our main character.

The main character spends most of the time horny and it’s hard to place her personality sometimes. As she’s meant to be with 3 different men, all of whom will probably end up with each other in a quadruple situation, and whose characters are “better” developed (though I use “better” loosely) her character isn’t stable. It’s not exactly dynamic either, it’s just a bit confused. There are places in the story where the voice used in her pov chapters changes to suit the man with her, it’s ignorable most of the time but sometimes it doesn’t make sense.

The sex is descriptive and would be a 5 star fan fiction, but it needs more to prove that the relationships forming are worth the “fated mate” trope.

I’m holding out hope for a strong character level up from our heroine now that she’s allowed to read and learn stuff (if you hate this trope stay away she’s naïveté personified a lot but then she gets confident out of nowhere idk it’s a little confusing). I’m also hoping the author will tell us more about the other paranormal rules and races in the book, don’t really think world politics is the point though.

i like how the mfc is head strong but also hate it. i do like that she keeping boundaries the most. the guys respect which is great. not az though he’s a dick.

the scene where she keeps looking at gray in lust had me so mad. girl they are trying to protect YOU!!! an hour of ignoring gray would not kill you!

i can already see how two out of the three guys will be kind to her and third will never grovel bec “that’s just how he is”.

the world is interesting but we don’t know much other than women are going extinct. it’s basically slice of life at this point.

will be cont
