wow. i loved this book so much that despite all my tears and anger in those last chapters, i still felt a tinge of sadness when i realized i had one page left. this was a tragic, frustrating, and beautifully written story i throughly enjoyed. again, i was frustrated multiple times, especially towards the end, but i think that just goes to show how much i had fallen in love with the characters, the plot, and Madeline Miller’s writing. it has been a while since a book has enraptured me this much ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I felt like I needed more context about Achilles and Patroclus and why he chose Patroclus in the beginning to really understand the way they interacted. BUT once I got further in I let that go and it became a fantastic read that I thought was beautifully written.

I rate this a 3.5 but .5s are not an option.
I liked this story overall, but I think it lacked some continuity? If that make sense.
The story of Patroclus and Achilles was very well done but TBH, Achilles pissed me off for real.
