A collection of summarised research papers. Some of those are very cool, very cute... And occasionally from the days before ethics boards, cruel.
A dense, choppy pop-sci book about 'bees'.
I was disappointed it's mostly honeybees; the orchid bee on the cover is misleading, I expected finally some varied bee species research in a book?!
But given that it's existing research, it's mostly honeybees a.melifra (like 90%), and sometimes bumblebees b.terristris (9%). Flitting between these papers it's not always clear which species is the subject.
And it took me ages, the entire off-season 🤭🐝
I liked it but I'm grumpy about it 😤
