funny lighthearted fast-paced

This book was easy to read, filled with slapstick humour (my favourite), along with adventure and chaos. Who wouldn't love a tale of wild escapades, clever assassins who are really the heroes, daring feats of rescue, a mystery solved, and true love found? With just a little spiciness to round out the story.

The Mercenary's Guide to Mishaps and Romnce is a sweet and funny story that had me laughing out loud right to the end. A madcap delight.

Warning - don't read this book if you are uncomfortable with LGBTQIA2S relationships.

Not her best book tbh.
This is one of the most "mid" Alice winters books I read in a long time. The jokes were not that funny, the love interest was meh, everything about this was average.
Read this if you like her writing and have nothing better to read.
This looks like one of those books authors use just to cash grab a bit in a loved series, I love Alice winters she's one of my fav authors, insta buy, so it does pain me to have this thoughts but this book just doesn't hit and it's totally unnecessary to the series.

This was a fun, exciting way to end an incredible series. I’m not sure if more books are planned in the future, but I’ve loved the wild ride this series has taken me on. I’m going to miss going on new adventures with this loveable cast, but I’m certain I’ll be revisiting their shenanigans in future.

It was great to get more of Tavish’s story and to have the opportunity to better understand him. Since his introduction, it’s been clear he had a difficult past despite his attempts to brush off any emotional scrutiny. Although their meet cute was anything but, Ellis’ sweet, gentle, and bright personality was exactly what Tavish needed, enabling him to not only open up but also, bringing much needed vibrance and stability to Tavish’s life. Ellis showed him that he deserved to find a place he could set down roots, and I'm so glad Tavish and Ellis found their happily ever after together and a family with Leland, Jackson, Cassel, Jeremy, and Henry.

Michael has well and truly cemented his place among my favourite narrators. He’s incredibly talented with such a versatile range of voices for the whole cast, including a convincing accent for Tavish. I’ve always been a sucker for a good Scottish brogue, so a few of Tavish’s lines were *extra* delicious.

This has to be one of Alice’s funniest books to date. Probably one of the funniest I’ve ever read. I was hooked from page one, and cracking up the entire time. It’s fun seeing a different side to Tavish, and I lovvveeeee Ellis so much! He is everything you didn’t know this series was missing. As soon as I finished this, I wanted to start it all over again. 10/10 - 5 stars - one of my top reads of the year!!

It's a good book. I enjoyed Tavish and Ellis. It bothered me a little bit that we got so mush of Leland's pov, don't get me wrong I love Leland but it kind of got to me that we didn't get more of Tavis and Ellis. but that's just me, still loved this book
