A thoroughly enjoyable book. Part legal drama, part police drama, the book is fast paced, easy to read and has an engaging plot.
The main character of guido, the lawyer, has issues but still manages to be an excellent lawyer who is really rather like able. The other characters are also believable as real people. There are also two surprise outcomes at the end of this.
I'm looking forward to reading more from carofiglio.

Tight, atmospheric, thoughtful book with a rye, bright Italian attorney as the lead character. Interesting supporting cast and storyline. Look for more avvocato Guerrieri stories.

This one was darker than the first, but still very enjoyable. I liked the characters of Claudia and the public prosecutor (when you don't see the names, just hear them, I find they stick less well!) The scene towards the end, where the police rewrite how the murderer was captured, was amusing.
