A lovely book. Lovely! This is a a traditional Regency romance with more historically accurate morality and manners than many of today's Regencies, and it's excellent. The heroine is endearing and enjoyable to spend time with, which is especially important since the book is told in her first-person POV, and the hero...well, he is just wonderful.
Wit, emotion, and sweet, heartfelt romance...a really good, well-written book. Highly recommended, even to my friends who prefer a little more sex in their romance novels. It's so good, you won't even mind that it's not there. No, really!

Full review to come later, but this was seriously one of the best books that I’ve ever read!
Solid 3.5. I liked it, but it was silly and predictable.

I loved it! Such a classic, pure romance. I loved the characters and the time period and pretty much everything about the book. It was funny and charming and an easy read.
To briefly summarize this book, it's a fluffy, historically inaccurate, implausible garbage. It's glaringly obvious that the author put zero effort into researching this time period. Just one obvious example: no widowed woman during the 1800s would be called Lady "First Name". Besides the large estate, bonnets, and balls, one could easily place this story into the modern day. I also didn't particularly enjoy the main characters falling desperately in love over the course of a week. Do yourself a favor: skip this entirely and read Georgette Heyer.

Dieses Buch war so viel mehr als ich erwartet hatte. Ich habe von Herzen gelacht und mitgefiebert. Wer Geschichten à la Jane Austen mag sollte dieses Buch unbedingt lesen!
I have to admit I was very skeptical at the beginning and hated it for no reason other than I thought she was scamming Jane Austen. But I got past that and I loved it. I read it in 2 days, and even got sad when I realized I was half way done. I just didn't want it to end.
