Amazing book. Cried at the end. The characters and the plot are so well written that their choices seem inevitable and that is heartbreaking. The use of many time settings if done beautifully throughout the series.

I was positively bawling last night. Man. Once again, the range and skill. Once more, the depth in which the themes were woven in. Like an onion, layer by layer revealing the greatness of it all. Hoa as a final POV was a genius stroke too. MAN. This trilogy is my everything!!!!

i really liked how this book explored the character dynamics of Nassun and Essun but i didnt really connect to any of the characters. The first book was so masterfully done that it quickly became one of my favs but after that i just didnt really care much about the whole story probably bcoz there was too much exposition for something that has been foreshadowed at the end of the first book already.

The Stone Sky is a great end to a fantastic series. In the world of fantasy, it felt truly unique and exciting. So many books in the genre tread the same basic paths, but The Broken Earth trilogy felt bigger and bolder. There is a reason that these books were highly praised and won awards.

I liked it better than the second but not as much as the first installment.
