This isn't a good one-chapter-before-bed book, there are a lot of characters and the perspective shifts every chapter. That said, it's very clever, ties together well, and I enjoyed it.

I’m an avid fantasy reader so I enjoyed the new action-thriller genre. The sarcastic comments, dark comedy, involvement of underground networks and best of all, the brat prince getting what he deserved are the things I liked about this book.

reading this book while riding the train and spotting a ladybug-bag beside me was almost comical
What a ride. A great ensemble black comedy with lots of nasty characters that while all thoroughly unlikeable are irresistible. I worry about the author’s brain that he could conjure up such wacky sadism and I’m now completely in fear of ever getting on a bullet train, but I thoroughly enjoyed the book.
The one star it’s missing is that the pace ambled a bit in places - generally the book weaves from high tension to farce and back, but occasionally it lost its momentum
Apparently there’s a film based on it - I can’t imagine that would have the time and space to tell all the tales that this book weaves together.
