Pnin’s just about the most hapless fellow you’ve ever sin. In fact, from what I can glin, every twee-coated academe character and those caught in their orbit (particularly the forlorn Roy) seem to harbor a bruised aortic valve or two. Feelings-wise, I min.
This line sums up the Pninian experience: "poor Pnin, poor albino porcupine!"
