Perfectly good continuation of the story. There were times I felt things could have been moved along more quickly, but I think that feeling came from me not being in the mood for Middle Grade, and nothing to do with the story or writing. I'll finish this series because I want to and it has great nostalgia feelings for me.

You'd think with Emma being over 100 years old, even if she is stuck in the body of a 16 year old, she wouldn't act like such a flippant, moody, teenager.

Without going into too much detail (aka SPOILERS for the first two books), this was my least favorite of the series. The jarring setting change was hard to swallow, and a lot of the scenes/photos combos felt forced. I did enjoy Jacob's expanding powers, and the ending was very satisfactory to me.
I'm not sure if I'll continue on in the series with the new trilogy, since I feel like I've read enough about these characters already. But I may give it a go and see if it's interesting enough to keep me going.
I did enjoy the series as a whole. I thought the idea was really neat and I obviously loved the photographs, aka the starring point in the series.

Audiobook-- this one got a little long winded in the middle. But I'm still enjoying the story.

As J.K.Rolling created the magical world of Harry Potter, Ransom Riggs created the world of peculiardom. The peculiars are such unique characters, impossible not to love. Their strange abilities and yet useful in need, make the book feel even more special. This novel is the conclusion of Miss Peregrine's series that kept my attention up till the end. Recommended read, especially this time of the year!
