I enjoyed this brief but thoughtful work on fear. I found it informative and engaging and quick, similar to listening to a podcast episode. Learning about Ron Elliott and his work as an underwater photographer, and sharks was fascinating!

It was fine. Which is basically all I can say about it. Nothing special.

Wonderfully narrated and relevant, the real life story of a diver and an essay about the primal fear and our behaviour and response, presented in an approachable and interesting way. A must listen for everyone, especially during the pandemic.

I guess it was interesting about how fear impacts us. It was short so that's something, but not really something I would read again.

The author confronts fear - of the pandemic and other more general points of anxiety - through the experiences of a man who dives with sharks, and gets back in the water even after he's been badly bitten. Well-written and comforting, in a weird way.
