This was a great book, but a little dated.
I learned that humans have always been on the brink of a nervous breakdown, so, in a weird way, I feel better. I don't feel broken, I'm just another human trying to chill out!
It was interesting reading personal testimonies from 80 years ago, so even though some of the advice is dated significantly, those dated bits are cool historical accounts!

Got the audible version and went through it pretty quickly. Provides some important insights on how to focus on the day at hand and not get caught up in future tasks/responsibilities. Provides great examples on how to live worry free and practical advice on what actions you can take. A book like this is needed every once in awhile

So, this was recommended to me by my sleep specialist, and I have to admit it only ranked about an 6 on the hokiness scale, so not as bad as I was expecting. I sort of had to develop a mantra as I was reading it - he was a man of his times, he was a man of his times....
Its not to say the advice in it was bad - most of it is good. Most of it, alas, is really common sense stuff and since my particular doctor didn't really see any sense engaging me into conversation about this sort of thing, didn't know it wouldn't help me.
But I suppose if you find yourself always worrying about what might happen and paralyzed because it, the book could be useful.
