I love hockey romances as much as the next girl, and as much as I wanted to love this book it was just not it for me

First, Rhodes and Nina both gave me second hand embarrassment. Rhodes more than Nina sometimes. Also, the fact she was still in college and this man is 10 years older than her gave me the ick. I’m fine with age gaps but if they’re still in school, I just bothers me. This book just felt extremely long and it felt like a whole lot of nothing happened.

I absolutely loved this story. It’s an age gap, hockey romance, with great anxiety representation. The FMC Nina is amazing, and reminds so much of myself. I love hope the author made her feel so real and relatable. The MMC Rhode is kind of a grimy, but a sweetheart as well. Such a cute story!

I really, really loved this book - pretty much everything that I could have ever asked for in a hockey romance. Rhode is an absolutely DREAMY MMC and the way that he fell so hard and so completely for Nina was just so wonderful! Both Nina and Rhode are great characters on their own, but I cannot get over how perfect they were together.  I really loved their meet-cute and how it showcased both of their personalities so wonderfully. They clearly support one another and pay attention to all the little details about what they love and care about. They support each other with everything they've got and I just feel like it's such a wonderful example of love. Even when they're trying to stay away from each other, there is absolutely nothing they wouldn't do to help the other one.
I also think Meredith Trapp did a fantastic job with Nina as an anxiety rep.
Also, the Rhode/Patty/Cruz friendship is one of the best examples of a healthy male friendship I've ever read. They're so supportive and make each other realize their mistakes. I am so excited for Patty's book "Homebound" and have decided that if I don't get a Cruz/Wyn romance I will riot (but not actually because I'm sure whatever Meredith Trapp decides to do will be perfection!)

This book lost half a star for me only because I got a little bit tired of the "but you're so young" conversations that happen.

i devoured this book. y’all i am so obsessed with nina and rhode! nina is such a strong character and she means so so much to me. i loved the anxiety and mental health rep and felt so seen. nina was so raw and inspiring and i love her sass and personality so much. she had me cracking up so many times. and rhode was perfection. i mean come on he’s a nhl cat daddy who cross stitches?! and his cats name is chicken?!! i can’t get over him. i understood his struggles and i am so happy that him and nina were able to overcome their obstacles and realize that who they truly wanted and needed was right in front of them. and the family dynamic between rhode and his team was so adorable! please please read this! you will cry and laugh til you cry. and if that’s not enough to convince you then do it for chicken!!!

A highly recommended 5 Star Read.

This was a light hearted age gap hockey romance with lots of banter, just enough spice and the cutest opposites attract story.

A wonderful read that i think lovers of hockey romance will enjoy, a little different from the rest.

Nina and Rhode are so easy to fall in love with, this was such a sweet, comforting and touching story with tons of heart and amazing spice!

I love how these two communicated. Even when they got mad, spoke in anger or stormed off, they always always made up for it and it felt so natural and mature. Their level of healthy communication and respect for each other was amazing.

How Rhode treated Nina’s anxiety totally made my heart melt, he’s such a perfect softie and his words of reassurance and comfort to her really tug at your heart strings. Even when they’re denying each other it’s clear as day how much care and admiration there is between them.

I followed Meredith’s journey for a while in the lead up to this book and couldn’t wait for its official release! This book just totally sucked me in and I loved every second !!! I hope we get Micah and Wyatt’s book because they are such incredible secondary characters and I need more of them both.
