Sleet Kitten by SJ Tilly is a hockey romance with an age-gap dynamic and a plus-size FMC. The chemistry is immediate, with insta-attraction driving the romance forward. However, the presence of a meddling ex and a third-act breakup—one of the most frustrating tropes—takes away from the overall enjoyment. The book delivers some solid spice and fun banter, but the predictable breakup resolution felt unnecessary. If you love hockey romance with steamy moments and don’t mind a little drama, this could still be worth a read.

I didn't really like this. The fmc seemed like juvenile? Easily excited by a hot guy? Idk, some of both maybe. The amount of times she thought "swoon" was ridiculous. We don't get a lot of time with her when mmc isn't around even tho most of the pov is hers. Mmc was nice but we didn't get much from him at all. Maybe it's an issue just from the book being shorter? The very little spice is disappointing and I'm also not at all a fan of the narrators. The OW drama was so incredibly stupid and disappointing too like it's just so common and I'm sick of it.

I've read a few of SJT's other books so having this one be so different was a bummer.
