I loved the Alliance series by S.J. so I figured I’d give this series a try and it wasn’t my fav. Again she nailed the banter and chemistry seriously these books are always hilarious and heartwarming and so hot but I thought the third act breakup was lame and then how they get back together was kinda lame too and I also just felt like it wasn’t enough. This whole book feels like it takes place over two weeks and we just didn’t get enough of Jackson and Katelyn. I wanted more silly mundane moments and you just didn’t get that with this book. But it was still a good read.

this book felt extremely young adult. the actions and themes in this book seem too immature for the mature nature of this book and all of tilly’s other works. the ideas in this book scream high school and college, not 30+
