~ Sleet Kitten by S.J. Tilly ~
I'm a huge S.J fan and nothing is ever gonna change that. Personally thought this one didn't quite hit for me.
It was definitely good don't get my wrong.
• Katelyn is as always a beautiful plus size lady, who knows her worth. She has her nice little life for herself.
• Jackson on the other hand is a very famous NHL player. Watched by millions, in stadiums, papers and online.
• The night they meet is a complete accident. Katelyn is looking for someone to get away from bumping into an ex while Jackson is holed up in his own home theatre avoiding the party upstairs. Jackson being a good guy lends his house to an aquaintance who happens to be Katelyn cousin. Katelyn sneaks into the library to get away and bumps into Jackson who invites her to watch a film.
• From there it's pretty much instant connection. The timing always being a little off. Someone or something interrupting the night. Something lost in translation. An ex girlfriend that won't go away. Busy body paparazzi.
This one definitely took me longer to get through and I desperately wanted to finish it. Looking forward to reading the rest in the Sleet series. Not sure who I'm more excited for though Izzy or Meghan.

Here we go again, with another booktok rec.
I wanted to love it so bad. I didn't. If I'm being honest I couldn't wait to finish it. It took me forever to get into it regardless of how fast paced it was. I will say that it had some very amusing interactions. Like when the girls would get together. I do appreciate Jackson telling Katelyn she has nothing to apologize for, and he's right. But this heroine lowkey got on my nerves and she was giving off some lowkey pick me girl energy vibes.
