Not my usual genre, but after some intense reads I needed something more light-hearted & simple - junk food for the brain essentially & this was perfect for it. It was a quick read; I only read it in my lunch break at work, but it definitely could be knocked out in a day. First in the series, but no cliffhangers; it wraps up nicely and you don’t need to read the rest unless you want to.

This was so fucking sweet.
I love the interaction she has at that first game he gives her a ticket to. So fucking cute and embarrassing. I was screaming in my head trying to warn her the whole time cause I just Knew!

Anyway.
Love it.
He’s an absolute dreamboat.
Those dates?!
Oh my god.
Perfection.
I’m actually jealous of a fictional woman.

I'm so mad at myself for not starting this series earlier! I didn't think I would enjoy the a hockey romance, but this is in the running for one of my favorite series I've read. Sleet Kitten is the first book in the series, and I adore Jackson and Katelyn. They are just the cutest! The chapters are short which make the book go by quickly. It's not the spiciest book I've read; it's definitely a slow burn. That being said, I wasn't disappointed by anything in this book. Overall, I recommend this book for anyone looking for a sweet, hockey romance with just a little spice.

DID NOT FINISH: 11%

The pace was too slow and the plot was not interesting enough for me to keep reading.

This can't be the same author that wrote Latte Darling! I was expecting the same vibes and feels and that was nowhere to be found here. Now I do believe that this was her first book and thank goodness I know it improved.

While I do like character-driven romances, I still need some actual romance to keep me going. We didn't even get a kiss way later on. Yeah, the romance here was truly dragged. Along with that, the third act conflict really felt out of place.

Basically, I'm only going to stick with her new and upcoming releases instead reading her backlist.

Dnf at 20% not for me sorry
