I wish I knew why it took me so long to start the Sleet series, but as usual I am completely in love with these two. I should know better than to question anything written by S.J. Tilly and whether I'm going to love it or not, because the answer is always, yes I will lol. I loved Jackson and Katelyn, the chemistry between them was, chefs kiss. They had me hooked and giggling, right from the start, then took me on a roller coaster of emotions (which is what this author normally does to me lol) along with wanting to punch a plastic barbie lol I can't wait to tuck into the next one of Sleet men
Light and Fun
This book was a surprise! I tore through it in a day. I laughed out loud several times and found myself smiling throughout.

That third act “breakup” totally could have been avoided, and they both know it too.
I think I'm realizing that I'm not an SJ Tilly fan. I've read a few of her books and all of them have just not hit the way that everyone else says they will. I tried to read this book like three or four times before I actually was able to get all the way through it. It's not necessarily a bad book, I just don't think the characters were my kind of characters. There are like three main things that made this a 'just okay' kind of a book.
1. Kitten. I absolutely hate that nickname. I find it so cringey. So that was rough for me to get passed.
2. The entire book spanned like two weeks. I don't exactly mind a fast romance, but that was insane to me how they knew pretty much nothing about each other and yet they were saying 'I love you.'
3. It also felt like everything took forever. Like they went on one date and it took like ten chapters. I get that it was like a full 24 hour date, but omg. It just felt like everything was dragged out so that it would be the length of a full book.
Those last two points might be opposite thoughts but I swear both are true. Like the pacing was just off. It was a fast romance since they had only known each other for such a short time and yet it was slow because everything they did had to take up several chapters.

It was an amazing romance with great chemistry but it was an instant love connection and there was no build up to it which made it a little bit less enjoyable
lowkey (highkey) dnf’ed. should’ve judged a book by its cover.
