Just fun and ridiculous light sci-fi with a serious nature vs. nurture discussion at it's core. I enjoyed the first one and I enjoyed this one. Korman is clever, weaving fun idiosyncrasies of the kids into their "real world" exploration. In addition to what makes someone good or bad, Korman touches on what makes a family, censorship, friendships, and growth. An excellent addition to any middle school classroom.
The suspense continues as the clones of Serenity escape in a wild adventure with twists to the plot. Cliffhanger again at the end ...

What a wild ride. This series certainly doesn't lead where you expect. There are some "grown-up" themes in these books so if your kid doesn't yet know about murder, the mob, criminals, etc, you may want to wait until middle school (7th or 8th grade) to let them read this series. The kids certainly knock out quite a few adults even though they seem contrite.
