I liked it, but I’m definitely going to have to read some Sparknotes to fully grasp it.

DID NOT FINISH: 28%

I enjoyed this book so far but I want to wait a bit until I finished it so I can read Ulysses afterwards, but right now I just don't have the time to read that one.

You never read about all the good times people have at boarding school

James Joyce is a great author. I had always been intimidated by the idea of reading anything by him, but A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man was relatable and thought-provoking, and I really enjoyed it. He does require some brainpower to process, however. I read significantly slower when there's things going around me and when I'm a bit distracted.
