You know these events likely happen..... HLS trumps all.

This is the one where Virgil takes on the Vietnamese terrorists. I love the character of Virgil Flowers and the way these books tie into the Lucas Davenport series.

Not bad...typical John Sandford mystery. Light reading for when I'm on the treadmill.

It wasn't a bad book I was just really bored with it, didn't find Virgil Flowers to be an interesting character to follow and the plot didn't grab me. This will probably be the last book about Virgil I read but I might pick up another series by John Sandford and give that a go.

Though this book had a fairly outlandish plot I did enjoy it more than the first book in the series. I liked that the BCA crew had larger roles in this book, the action was quite well done, and thought the narration by Eric Conger was better.

Weak and confusing storyline. About 1/5 too long

I'm "finished" with this in that it's pulpy and kinda crappy, and sitting on my night table for when I want something mindless to pluck away at.

But I'm reading better things now and this might even stay abandoned. We'll see.

This story is chocolate cake, but a little dry.

That is, usually interesting and fast-paced but often predictable and with some really weird dialogue.
