the first book was def stronger. everything in this one felt a bit rushed to try and make it a duology instead of trilogy. the timeline in the last third of the book is hard to follow and none of the other gods except the ones mentioned in the first got a lot of development. madoc's power was cool its a shame it won't be explored more
