The infernal devices series is much different than any other series I have read. Mostly because it takes place in Victorian London. But also because Cassandra Clare is just a phenomenal author whose books you can fall into emotionally. At first I was unsure and after the first Book I doubted I would even like the series at all. I feel that Will is becoming a better person than he was before which I was hoping would happen because I've been waiting a long time to read about "the famous will herondale". So if you are a Cassandra Clare fanatic like me you problem will have already picked up the book right now. If you are not (you should become one) then I still recommend reading this series it will just get better and better as the series progresses.

I always feel a bit guilty reading Young Adult books. I feel like I should be all grown-up and read grown-up books. The problem is there are some great YA books out there and I don’t want to miss out just because I’m old.
Clockwork Prince is the second book in The Infernal Devices series and it acts as a bridge between an attention-grabbing first books and a kick-arse third book. (At least I’m hoping for a kick-arse third book when it is published in 2013).
While the plot of the story moves along with the discovery of spies and traitors, Clockwork Prince is more focused on developing relationships between the characters. There is less action in this book than in [b:Clockwork Angel|7171637|Clockwork Angel (The Infernal Devices, #1)|Cassandra Clare|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1327137475s/7171637.jpg|6674837]and events were set up for the next installment.
At three stars, Clockwork Prince is an enjoyable read and has maintained my enthusiasm to read the next installment in this series.
