This was a little sappy for my taste (I like my romance with a whole lot of grit), but it was a sweet and wholesome ending for our original HH couple. This little novella followed preparations for Mae and Styx’s wedding and Styx’s struggle to overcome his stutter in order to speak his vows. Having grown up with a speech impediment, albeit not anywhere as severe as Styx’s, this part really resonated with me.

Overall, it was a lovely little book and made for a perfect palate cleanser after all the trauma in the prior books.

I think I speak for all the lovers of the series when I say that this was such a heartwarming novella! It was so refreshing to read about the gang and not have so many shocking, crazy moments. Styx and Mae are one of my favorite couples of the series, so it wasn't hard to fall head first into this story.

Tillie lays it all out in the description, so I will just keep my review short and sweet. It is a wonderful story that HAS TO BE READ IN THE PUBLISHED ORDER. I see you... yeah, you... the one that is trying to read this right after the first book! Don't do it!

I mean, ultimately it is your decision but you're setting yourself up for some major spoilers. Don't say I didn't warn you...

4 stars!

Ahhh!

More Styx but most of all Mae too ❤️

So much swoon going on in this one. Styx has soo much going for him but he is holding himself back and it hurts so much to see him going through it!

We also get to see the rest of the MC world that we met in It Ain't Me Babe. I was most excited to see Ky again in this one because he is my fave for sure! This book couldn't have been more beautiful and it was a much needed surprise after Damnable Grace.

I adore Tillie and all her words, she is my author person for sure without a doubt. I will continue to devour her books as soon as they come out.

Promise!

Love this novella so much! I've been a fan of Styx and Mae since the beginning. It's so nice to read about their wedding. The love they have for each other is truly amazing! Super quick read, but so so worth it!

“I did not know what life was until I found you. The boy who came into my life as a child. The boy with no voice who miraculously found words in my presence. The boy who kissed me on my lips, blessing me with the foreign, unreachable concept of hope.”

I was so glad when I heard that Tillie Cole would release this novella. I think it was a very nice touch to the series. Next to all the mayhem and darkness, it is nice to have something so sweet and beautiful. Styx and Mae are the first couple in this series and I loved how their relationship developed over the years. I also enjoyed Styx interaction with Ky, makes me want to read his book again. Also the scenes between Mae and her sisters were beautiful and very touching. It is obvious from this novella that Styx would do anything for Mae, and I wish them nothing but the best. I can't wait for the next book to release. I'll probably reread this one a couple of times until then.

I Do, Babe by Tillie Cole is book 5.5 of the Hades Hangmen series. This is a novella for River(Styx) and Mae.

This was everything it promised to be and more. I loved how supportive and protective these two are for each other. The comfort they bring each other, it’s just on another level. It was so good to get a novella from our first couple of the series. Loved their wedding. ♥️
