Loathe to Love You

This was not my fave, but I think because I’ve read everything else of Ali’s it’s sometimes hard to go back to the beginning when the writing wasn’t as strong. That being said, I would read a dictionary if Ali wrote it, so I still loved these little interconnected stories, just not as much as everything else she’s published.

3.8 I liked the stories but I just wish they were longer but I did love them all

I really struggled with the miscommunication trope in all 3 of these novellas. Literally all of the issues and conflict in these stories could have been resolved with a 5 minute adult conversation. Also, all of the heroes and heroines could be interchanged with each other and it would be barely noticeable. A little more diversity in looks, personality, and interactions would have been nice.
I thought the humor was fun and the sex scenes steamy, I just wish there had been less misunderstanding and more character development throughout. I'd still be willing to try something else by this author.

"De al amor al odio" nos trae tres historias cortas que encapsulan todo lo que hace a Hazelwood una autora tan reconocible: el STEM romance, las dinámicas enemies to lovers y un montón de tensión bien construida. Pero también deja claro algo más: este libro se siente como una versión más primeriza de su estilo. Si has leído sus novelas más recientes, notarás que aquí todavía estaba puliendo su fórmula.

Overall I’m glad I read these and I really liked how the stories all connected and how they all ended with the bonus chapters. They weren’t super unique in comparison to the rest of her work but definitely recommend if you’ve read Hazelwoods backlist and want something to scratch that itch.

Under One Roof: 4⭐️’s
I really liked the progression of Liam and Mara's relationship and despite being a novella it felt like it was paced very well and the tension was built successfully. I would've definitely read of full novel of their story.

Stuck with You: 3⭐️’s
Definitely cute and entertaining but I definitely won't be thinking about it afterwards and the characters weren't super memorable

Below Zero: 3⭐️’s
Another classic Ali Hazelwood story. I don’t think this one will be very memorable for me either and I didn’t like the way Hannah insisted that she couldn’t be in a relationship because no one could love her. It felt like a forced plot point but I did like Ian as a character.
