PLEASE READ FIRST: I'm marking this review for spoilers, but also for detailed sexual descriptions (this is a steamy romcom after all)

First of all: Hazelwood is really great at writing what I feel I can fairly and accurately describe as pornographic scenes. I'll be upfront: that's the #1 reason why I'm giving 4 stars.

Everything else...is filler, let's be honest here. The characters are shallow and you've already read them in countless other steamy romances. There's ~120 pages per novella so if you're mostly going to get very trope-y characters in a normal 360 page novel, yeah. The biggest offender is Under One Roof, where Erik's fingers-on-Sadie's clitoris literally get more characterization than the actual characters so named. It also jumps right into the...action, with the whole NASA framing background feeling like, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

But, Under One Roof is my favorite because...let's face it I need to starts dating again. Below Zero is the weakest because it's rather drawn out. You know how.

Overall - 4.25 ⭐️
I thought the concept of three best friends and concurrent timelines was really fun! Not my favorite Ali read, but it was a good time. Mara and Liam were my favorite.

Under One Roof - 5 ⭐️
Quintessential Ali story. I wish Mara and Liam got their own full length book because I wanted way more than the ~120 pages we got. I thought the petty “enemies” to reluctant friends who watch the Bachelorette together to lovers storyline was cute. I also liked that while there was an immediate attraction, it wasn’t insta-love. Mara was so relatable, and their relationship was fun to read about.

Stuck With You - 4 ⭐️
I like Sadie and Erik, and I enjoyed the backstory on their date and compatibility. My only issue with their story was that Sadie had known Erik for 24 hours and then felt so betrayed by him without really knowing him, or letting him explain what happened. I think I would have liked this story more if it was longer and if they had more interactions.

Below Zero - 4 ⭐️
I liked that Hannah and Ian kept crossing paths over the years. It helped advance the plot and build tension in their relationship, which was a nice change of pace after finishing the quick timeline in Stuck With You. Ian is a textbook Ali mmc (the pining!!), but my issue with this story was Hannah. I’m not the biggest fan of the “I’m unloveable, no one could ever get to know me and actually want to stay around” trope.
