this book was painfully bad. the stories just kept getting worse. and I literally only read 7 pages of 2nd story.

safe to say, I would rather free bleed in white pants than finish this book

I would rather never ever pick a wedgie again

I would rather alway wear my excruciatingly easily tangled hair down all the time. and only brush it one a week

I would rather dive into a chlorinated pool without pinching my nose

I would rather take off my bedroom door and replace it with door beads

I would rather wear long pants to bed

I would rather sleep on a pillow that’s always warm

I would rather use a charger that only works at one angle for the rest of my life

I would rather have a not have any power outlets near my bed and not have access to an extension cord

I would rather never use conditioner again

I would rather only wear those coily hair ties for the rest of my life

I would rather only be able to listen to the single ladies instrumental for the rest of my life

I WOULD EVEN START JOGGING. REGULARLY.

I would rather do all of that combined than finish this book

yes it’s that bad

the voice actors for the audiobooks of these 3 novellas are stellar, i can’t recommend the audio versions enough. i thought these stories depicted believable, lovable and wicked smart people. the romances happened fast but Hazelwood wrote them in believable ways. i think i can conclude Hazelwood is my favorite contemporary romance author.
that being said i have to mention that i am physically unable to read her books during the proper school year. i am a very anxious person, especially academically, and reading about incredibly smart women doing incredibly smart things with little to no difficulty makes me feel small and stupid. seeing them be mind-bogglingly successful is also very intimidating and makes me anxious because i am insecure :)
but that has nothing to do with the author or her fabulous books. that’s a me thing.

Re-read for Powell's summer reading bingo game 8/7/25

I still prefer Under One Roof and Stuck With You over Below Zero. The first two are really good, quick reads.

3 very cute and sweet novellas in one book. Thoroughly enjoyed this, it was instant gratification in a book. A simple read, especially in the midst of a long fantasy series
