This was a fun, easy, valentines read ❤️ There is an easy to follow plot, that Annabelle is a temporary housekeeper for a Scottish earl and that said earl is a grumpy man who just wants to get done with his business in London and return to his well planned, logical life. But both parties didn't expect to fall inlove with one another!
It's pretty insta-lust and they quickly develop a friendship with one another before they sleep together. Annabelle is written as an airhead but also smart and aware of herself, whereas Matthew is all logic and business and "I have no time for love" vibe. It was really cute to read about them growing close and then them finally giving in and sleeping with one another. My dudes, she literally uses a feather duster on his 👀.
The ending was also just too adorable!! This all centers around Valentines and all she wants is to be his and then he makes a grand gesture 😭 it was so cute it had me tearing up 😭
