This was the best one I’ve read so far. All of these books tend to have some sort of twist at the end, and this one I didn’t actually see coming. It was really well paced, with a good plot.

This one suffers from the classic Goosebumps flaw of not quite having enough story to fill 120 pages. I loved the initial premise with the horror franchise and movie set, I was fully on board - and the little hint about something being wrong when the dad reacts weirdly to the mother being mentioned.

Unfortunately it just really quickly devolved for me into repetitive territory of meeting a monster, then it goes away.

I will say that the ending was good, and the overall story was an interesting concept. I just wish that the middle part had developed a little more rather than just being a repetitive small-fright.

I was really thinking this would be good but I just didn’t like the ending.  The last few pages felt like everything else in the book was useless, I hate plot twist endings like this.  I did, however, like the atmosphere of this book (before the last chapter) it was nice at least.

This story is told in the first person by Erin. She and her best friend Marty love Shock Street horror films. They are middle school age. Erin's father is the designer of the soon to be opened Shocker Studio Tour. He wants Erin and Marty to be the first to try the tour as a test run. The tour is much more than they expected. There were a lot of scary and tense situations. Overall, I enjoyed the book. The ending was clever. But I didn't think it was a good conclusion to the story.

3 stars. I feel like I haven't enjoyed one of these books in a long time so this was a nice surprise. It was action packed and I really liked the characters and the way it ended. A really fun read and one of the better ones as of late.
