I really enjoyed the first book of this duology, Vicious. That being said, I was so excited to read Vengeful. This was such a disappointment. There was absolutely no need to add the character of Marcella. I found her to be so incredibly annoying, and the fact that her story took precedence over Victor and Eli’s really tempted me to add this to my DNF pile. However, I did manage to get to the end. I found the whole final section, Exodus, to be really rushed and underwhelming. This book had the potential to be really fantastic if Schwab had just focused on Victor, Mitch, Sydney and Eli.

This addition to the Villains world took me a bit longer to get through but it was still satisfying. There were a lot more characters introduced but all of their storylines were tied together quite neatly by the end. I wish there had been more Eli and Victor though. But the addition of powerful women as villains was certainly welcome!
