It’s honestly the best stalker romance I’ve read in a long time. The way the MMC is so dark, broken, and absolutely obsessed with her?? It’s intense in the best way….dangerous, protective, borderline unhinged.
Kai is a hitman, completely dead inside, and the only thing that makes him feel again is her. And the twist? She’s the mafia princess who’s insecure in the beginning because edge didn’t know who liked her for her or they liked to get closer to her father... Their dynamic is pure electricity ⚡️⚡️he stalks her like she’s his last chance at salvation, and she slowly realizes he might be the only person who truly sees her.
I don’t want to give the plot away so I won’t say much… I will say that I normally don’t care for kids in dark romance…like, I don’t need it. But honestly? It worked here. It didn’t ruin the vibe or slow it down, which surprised me. She didn’t act like other books when there was a secret child… 🤐 (don’t want to give up the plot) I really appreciated this book and how FMC was… the changes she went through and why made her a badass in realistic way, which I LOVE!
I did not love the ending (not gonna lie), but somehow it intrigued me to read the next book. (Not out on audible yet).
It’s violent, emotional, raw, sexy, and honestly addictive. If you like: Obsessive, broken MMCs, A hitman/mafia storylines, Stalker vibes done right… it wasn’t too spicy… BUT definitely worth the credit!
(Full disclosure, I skipped a few books in the middle and didn’t feel like I missed much at all… so it can be read as a standalone)
