Kai and Nera, Nera and Kai. I will forever think about you two. You are my top 1 couple.
Kai, I have no words, he is quite literally my favorite. Everything he does in the first half to just be close to her, and then everything he does in the second half to keep them close; he's got my heart and will forever.
And Nera, she's the baddest and most badass of the series, so strong and resilient and got pushed down, but always got back up again, stronger. She has her little family and looks out for them like a lioness.
I adore this couple so so much, and that little glimpse at the end of the next couple just made me feral for Zahara and Massimo!!

Oh my heart..
This is only my second of this series I've read and by far my favorite. Oh my heart hurts for Kai. He had so many innocent moments where he just didn't know, it was so cute I wanted to just squeeze his cheeks. Nera was such a well suited partner for Kai in every way. I'm not going to go into anything in this story as the author wished to have spoiler free reviews. But just know your heart is gonna break multiple times but the good parts will put it all back together. The way Kai feels that he doesn't deserve something good absolutely shattered me. Everything in this book was so well written.. the characters had depth where I felt everything they felt. The story itself was well paced and had me in a chokehold, and the comedic relief was perfection. Absolutely enjoyed this whole book and said that it's done. I can't wait for Zaharas book to figure out why she cowers and looks at the ground when Massimo is present.
